Surbana Jurong to provide M&E engineering services to seven KFC Myanmar restaurants
Surbana Jurong has secured a contract to provide mechanical and electrical engineering services for seven KFC Myanmar restaurants across Yangon, Bago and Mandalay. The scope of work includes the engineering design of power distribution, general lighting, extra-low voltage system, air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation system, fire protection system, and plumbing works.
These projects mark the rapid expansion of the KFC fast-food restaurant chain in the Myanmar market, which opened its first store in June 2015 and targets to have 22 stores nationwide by end March 2018. KFC Myanmar is managed by Summit Brand Restaurant Group Limited, a subsidiary of Yoma Strategic Holdings Limited, which has a diversified portfolio of businesses in real estate, consumer, automotive and heavy equipment, and investments in Myanmar. Surbana Jurong looks forward to more opportunities to support Yoma Strategic Holdings in its expansion plans.
